We have opportunities for four Children and Family workers to join our Single Children's Front Door which is aligned with the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team on a permanent basis. The Single Children's Front Door progresses all requests for a provision of services/support for families, acting as the front door to statutory services, by applying consistent thresholds based on Coventry's Effective Support for Children & Families guidance. The Front Door brings key professionals together to facilitate quality information sharing, analysis and decision-making, to safeguard vulnerable children, young people more effectively. Staff from across Health, Children’s Services, Police, Probation and Education are based in the service at any one time at its based in ONE Friargate in the city centre. This is a great opportunity to experience working in a busy, multi‑agency environment that focuses on providing good quality advice to ensure that families receive appropriate support.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, experienced, and highly skilled Children and Families Worker to deliver an outstanding service to children and their families. You will be a worker who is passionate, child‑centred, enthusiastic, quick thinking and confident in dealing with members of the public, professionals, and agencies in order to manage referrals by holding relational family conversations and gathering information to enable an accurate initial threshold assessment to be made regarding the support that a child and their family may require.
