A community support organization is seeking a Childcare Practitioner for a Breakfast Café role to ensure a safe environment for children and provide healthy breakfast options. The successful candidate will have experience in catering, understand dietary needs, and possess strong organizational and teamwork skills. This permanent position requires working Monday to Friday, offering 6.25 hours weekly near Kelty, Scotland. A Level 2 Disclosure with PVG is required as part of the employment process.

Hunger and poverty are having a detrimental effect on children’s ability to concentrate and engage in their school learning. Hunger often leads to lethargy and sometimes even disruptive behaviour, which ultimately leads to children not engaging in the classroom.
A childcare practitioner working in a Breakfast Café will provide a safe, secure environment before school where all children attending are provided with a healthy breakfast (ranging from cereal, toast, fruit and yogurts).
Breakfast Cafes are drop in services and are not a registered childcare provision.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain a Level 2 Disclosure with PVG. This will be actioned as part of your pre-employment checks.
