What You’ll Do:

• 🍽️ Meal Preparation: Create well-balanced, fresh meals daily, adhering to standard recipes and production planning.
• ⚠️ Allergen Awareness: Identify allergens in food and communicate special dietary needs clearly to all customers.
• 🍏 Dietary Considerations: Understand and cater to special dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets under IDDSI guidelines, and religious or cultural needs.
• 💡 Supervision: Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of a supervisor and support new team members with technical advice.
• 💰 Order Management: Take orders and handle cash through the call order system while ensuring all health and hygiene standards are met.
• 🧼 Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in all working areas and ensure compliance with food hygiene legislation.

Who You Are:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

• A holder of City & Guilds 706/702 or NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation and Cookery.
• A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in large-scale cookery and a passion for following recipes with precision.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer inquiries and complaints courteously.
• The ability to work independently and manage food waste effectively.
