Mott MacDonald is seeking a Mechanical Discipline Lead within the Water Utilities Division to support a large UK water framework. You will lead the mechanical engineering discipline, drive technical direction, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards while coordinating with client technical stakeholders.

Based in the UK, you will manage staff, develop innovative solutions, and travel regularly to client sites and meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Chartered status (CEng) with a recognised professional institution.
• Proven ability to lead a portfolio of technical projects, ensuring QA & standards.
• Demonstrable experience in infra and non-infra mechanical design.
• Strong communication across internal multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Drive to stay updated on professional development and solutions.
• Good understanding of designers' responsibilities under CDM.
• Flexibility to travel regularly for client meetings.

Responsabilités

• Accountable for technical quality of deliverables and staff competency.
• Coordinate mechanical resources across the framework with design managers and leads.
• Develop relationships with client technical stakeholders and maintain communication.
• Ensure discipline discharges its duties as a Designer under CDM.
• Identify and implement innovations to deliver to programme and commercial targets.
