Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to shape the mechanical design across water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will lead design teams, ensure robust technical delivery, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals to meet client standards and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop technical solutions through project lifecycles, and drive excellence in safety, quality and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer or above.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of water and/or wastewater industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design, planning and execution of the mechanical engineering aspects of projects.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineers and project teams; mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Geotech and Process engineers and ensure client asset standards.
