Job summary

An influential organisation is seeking a Financial Accounting & Control Manager to lead financial operations including statutory accounts, tax compliance, and team development. The successful candidate must have a CCAB-qualified accountancy qualification and experience in the charity sector. This role, offering a salary between £53,623 and £62,629 plus an allowance, balances office presence and remote work, and aims to make a real difference to children's lives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a complex financial environment.
  • Experience producing consolidated statutory accounts and managing external audits, ideally within the charity sector.
  • Proven experience in implementing, documenting, and enforcing financial controls.
  • Experience managing, developing, and motivating a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of consolidated statutory accounts for NSPCC and its subsidiaries.
  • Implement and enforce internal financial controls to ensure integrity of ledger and reporting.
  • Manage VAT, direct tax, and corporate tax compliance.
  • Oversee cash flow monitoring and treasury management.
  • Critically evaluate and improve financial processes.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Lead and develop a team of Financial Accountants and Finance Officers.
