Job summary

Immunocore is a pioneering biopharmaceutical company seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation within CMC in Oxford. You will advance characterization of biopharmaceuticals, lead LC-MS/MS peptide mapping and intact mass analyses, and contribute to glycosylation analysis and protein biomolecule testing.

You will design experiments, mentor colleagues, maintain labs, generate reports, and help develop methods for ImmTAX products while upholding STRIDE values.

Qualifications

• Essential: HPLC-based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins/antibodies.
• Essential: Glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins/antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications.

Responsibilities

• Support characterization of drug substance/product impurities and identity.
• Perform peptide mapping (LC-MS/MS) and intact mass analyses.
• Characterise process intermediates to aid development.
• Develop and refine characterization methods for ImmTAX and related products.
• Design and carry out biochemical characterization, chemical stability and comparability studies.
• Contribute to study protocols and reports.
• Test and mentor colleagues, share knowledge across department.
• Maintain lab records and ensure data quality.
