Job summary

Immunocore is seeking a Senior Scientist I - Characterisation to advance our protein characterisation capabilities in Oxford. You will lead HPLC peptide mapping and MS analyses to characterise complex biopharmaceuticals, focusing on recombinant proteins and antibodies, including glycosylation patterns.

You will design and execute experiments, coordinate testing, contribute to method development for ImmTAX, and present findings to colleagues and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in development of HPLC based peptide mapping methods and MS characterisation of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Experience of glycosylation analysis of recombinant proteins or antibodies.
• Independently coordinated extensive testing of protein biomolecules.
• Characterisation of proteins expressed in microbial and mammalian systems.
• Understanding of expected post-translational modifications in biological systems.
• Bench-based biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
• Expertise in electrophoretic, chromatographic or mass spectrometry methods.
• Experience in assay development.
• Familiar with biopharmaceutical stability study principles.
• Experience working in diverse teams and driving practice improvements.
