We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Digital Team. This role is part of a team responsible for providing at-the-elbow support for our users. The post holder will be required to work independently and within a team. Knowledge of the systems already in use at the Trust such as Cerner (iCLIP Pro) is essential. The Trust has recently rolled out a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, and this is an opportunity to be part of the digital change, ensuring the safe and effective use of applications.

Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate a commitment towards the development of professional and clinical practice (self and others).
  2. Provide at-the-elbow support to users with Cerner applications and keep skills/knowledge in this area up-to-date.
  3. Work collaboratively with professional groups, projects team, and Business As Usual.
  4. Support code upgrades/downtimes.
  5. Help (with CU Manager/Senior CU Leads) ensure appropriate records are kept of Clinical Champion User activity (e.g. via HEAT portal) and equipment deployed by Clinical Champion Users.
About the Trust

St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential: good communication skills, keen eye for detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and knowledge of Cerner (iCLIP Pro) systems. Experience with Electronic Patient Records (EPR) systems is part of the role.
