Dahlia Renewables are partnered with this rapidly expanding biogas company and seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. This role offers the chance to drive financial strategy and sustainability in a company dedicated to transforming waste into clean energy through biogas production. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and sustainability goals.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Manage relationships with investors, stakeholders, and financial institutions.
  • Lead and execute M&A activities involving biogas plants to drive strategic growth.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics.
  • Lead financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
  • Oversee the company's capital structure and financing strategies.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial training and mentorship to finance team members.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and advisors on financial projects.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning, and risk management.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working for a Biogas company would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience in a start up environment is advantageous, as it requires a hands-on approach, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving setting.
