Job summary

A leading certification body is seeking senior-level professionals for the Certification Management Board. This is a non-remunerated volunteer role that provides an opportunity to contribute valuable expertise in the governance of recognized certification schemes. Position : Non-remunerated

Term : You will be appointed for an initial term of 3 years and will be eligible for re-appointment for an additional term (maximum 6 years).

The Role

We are seeking senior-level professionals to join the Certification Management Board as independent and impartial stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to the governance and oversight of internationally recognised certification schemes.

Successful candidates will :
  • Provide specialist knowledge in their sector with desirable understanding of certification and accreditation requirements.
  • Be recognised as leaders with influence in their organisation with extensive experience in welding NDT or Asset Integrity.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of governance with experience in committee or board work.
  • Ideally bring auditing experience and familiarity with certification schemes.
  • Ideally be former employees of certification bodies.
  • Certificate holders with scheme knowledge in industries such as Oil & Gas Construction Power Renewables or Rail.

Security requirements : This position will require a BPSS check which TWI will carry out.

Expenses

This is a volunteer role and will not be remunerated ; however out-of-pocket expenses including travel expenses will be reimbursed. Board meetings usually commence at 9am; however if there is a justifiable reason to do so e.g. a significant distance to travel overnight accommodation will be arranged.

Location

Meetings usually held at Granta Park Cambridge.

Time commitment

Available to attend meetings at least twice a year.
