Copello Global is seeking a Compliance, Certification and Approvals engineer to join an engineering company on an initial 6‑month contract which is responsible for ensuring that all products meet applicable regulatory, Safety, and environmental standards required for CE marking and other international certifications. This role involves managing product compliance throughout the design, development, and product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to EU Directives, harmonized standards, and global regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the CE marking process for new and existing products, including conformity assessment, technical documentation, and declaration of conformity preparation
  • Interpret and apply relevant EU & UK Directives (e.g. Machinery Directive, Marine Equipment Directive, RoHS, Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, RED etc) and harmonised standards
  • Conduct product risk assessments and support design teams in implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate and manage third‑party testing and certification with Notified Bodies, accredited laboratories and regulatory agencies
  • Develop, maintain and review technical files and other compliance documentation
  • Support global market approval including UL, FCC CSA UKCA and other regional certification as required
