Apogee Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician to support IT hardware repair and maintenance across laptops, desktops and peripherals in Central London. The role blends on-site visits with remote support, emphasizing quick resolution and strong customer communication.

You will diagnose faults, install OSes, perform repairs, and keep accurate records while following data protection procedures; a DBS check is required and a commitment to high service standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing laptops/PC hardware or providing IT support.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software and OS (Windows required; macOS/Linux beneficial).
• Experience with diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques.
• Solid troubleshooting across hardware and basic networking.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on laptops, desktops and peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems including Windows and others.
• Support users on-site and remotely with clear guidance.
• Carry out repairs, components replacements and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot printers, connectivity and RPOS hardware.
• Complete accurate service notes and repair records.
• Follow data protection, backup and security procedures.
• Escalate complex issues when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication.
• Keep up to date with tools, technologies and repair methods.
