Flexible working hours available, preferably on Saturdays.
I am a 16 year old girl living in Roath, Cardiff. I have Down Syndrome and I am mostly non-verbal. I know some Makaton but most of the time I communicate through gestures and facial expressions. I am a kind and funny person. I love music, art and crafts. I don't like crowded places and noise.
The main reason for the position is to support me out in the community and encourage my independence.
3 hours support for social activities. Would prefer between 2pm and 5pm on Saturdays, but can be flexible.
£14.50 per hour
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
