Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust in Lincoln is seeking a relief assistant caretaker to join our estates team. The role is casual with a zero-hours contract and requires no prior experience; full training is provided to help keep the school clean, safe and welcoming for pupils and staff.

You will perform cleaning duties, basic maintenance, report faults, store equipment safely, and participate in health and safety training to meet COSHH and safeguarding standards. Interviews will be conducted virtually.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Reliable and hardworking with good teamwork.
• Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines.
• Comfortable with practical and physical work.
• Ability to be a key holder when required.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for cleaning specified areas, following standards and methods.
• Carrying out basic caretaking duties and minor repairs as directed.
• Safely storing all cleaning equipment and materials after use.
• Proactively reporting equipment faults or shortages to your supervisor.
• Participating in mandatory health and safety training (COSHH, safeguarding).
