Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust in Leeds seeks a relief assistant caretaker to keep learning environments clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils and staff. The role is casual with zero-hours, covering absences and busy periods on an as-needed basis.

You will perform cleaning, basic maintenance, store equipment safely, report faults, and complete health and safety training to meet COSHH and safeguarding standards. Interviews will be conducted virtually.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Able to follow health and safety, COSHH, and safeguarding guidelines.
• Flexible hours; able to work on an as-and-when-needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas according to standards.
• Carry out caretaking duties including minor DIY.
• Report faults and shortages to supervisor.
• Participate in required staff training on safety standards.
