Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust in Grimsby is seeking a Relief Assistant Caretaker to join the estates team. The role is casual with zero-hours contracts, and you will be called upon to cover staff absences or busy periods.

No experience or formal qualifications are required; you will receive full training from day one. You will maintain a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff, including basic repairs and safe storage of equipment.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours and relief shift work as and when required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning designated areas following the Trust's standards and methods.
• Caretaking duties, including minor DIY repairs as directed by the Estates Manager or Head of School.
• Safely storing cleaning equipment and materials after use.
• Proactively reporting equipment faults or material shortages to your supervisor.
• Participating in required health and safety, COSHH and safeguarding training.
