Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes is recruiting a Care Assistant for Hartfield House Care Home in Leatherhead. This full-time role involves compassionate, person-centred care for residents, supporting daily living activities and meals, and upholding dignity and independence.

You will work closely with the team to create a warm, respectful environment and be committed to safeguarding residents, with DBS checks and references as part of the process.

Full Time DAYS Position - 36 Hours Weekly - 12 Hour Shifts - 8am to 8pm - Alternative Weekends

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
