Job summary

Thirlestaine Park Care Home in Cheltenham is looking for a part-time Care Assistant to make a real difference in residents' lives. You will care for our residents as if they were family, supporting physical, social, mental and emotional wellbeing, including morning and evening shifts.

The role includes a DBS check, satisfactory references, and eligibility to work in the United Kingdom. Training is provided by our Learning & Development team, and weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care is welcomed, with full training provided.
• Our Learning & Development team supports ongoing professional growth.
• Strong communication and empathy are essential for resident-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care according to their plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote dignity and independence through person-centred care.
• Assist at mealtimes and ensure residents have access to refreshments.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families with kindness and compassion.

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
