Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes is seeking a Care Assistant at the Cotswold Gate Care Home in Burford. Full-time day and night positions are available with 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm days, 8pm-8am nights) and alternative weekends. Sponsorship is not offered.

You will care for residents with compassion, support daily living activities, promote dignity, and build trusting relationships. A DBS check and satisfactory references are required; training and development are provided.

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
