Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support residents at Savernake View Care Home in Marlborough. You will be the daily contact for residents, assisting with personal care and daily living activities while upholding dignity and respect.

You will join a warm team, receive full training from our Learning & Development team, and help residents enjoy meaningful days with compassionate, person-centred care. DBS checks and references apply.

Responsibilities

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.

Contract

Care Assistant: 24, 36 or 48 hour contracts.

Shift Pattern

Nights, 8pm to 8am, including alternate weekends.
