Job summary

Deer Park Care Home, Ledbury, is seeking a Care Assistant to join our nights team at Porthaven Care Homes. The role runs 12-hour shifts (8pm–8am) with options of 36 or 48 hours per week and alternating weekends, helping residents with daily living activities while promoting comfort and safety.

The successful candidate will be cheerful, compassionate, flexible, and capable of working in a supportive, collaborative environment. A DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
