Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes in Cambridge is hiring a Care Assistant to make a difference in residents' lives, caring for their physical, social, mental and emotional wellbeing.

You will support daily living activities, including washing, dressing, grooming, mealtimes, and build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Training and development are provided by our Learning & Development team.

Hours- 48 Hours per week

Shifts - 8am till 8pm including alternative weekends

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
