Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes is seeking a caring and reliable Care Assistant to join our Penhurst Gardens location in Chipping Norton. The role covers day and night shifts on a 48-hour contract, with 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends. Training is provided, DBS check and UK work authorisation are required.

You will help residents with daily living activities, support meals, and deliver person-centred care, fostering dignity and independence in a warm, supportive environment.

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
