Job summary

Falkland Grange Care Home, Monks Lane, Newbury RG14 7RW, is recruiting for a Full Time Senior Carer/Team Leader. You will lead a team of Carers and Senior Carers to deliver person-centred care 8am–8pm on a 36-hour week with alternating weekends.

The role requires previous care home experience, NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and confidence in administering medications while maintaining high care standards and up-to-date care plans.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is required.
• Previous experience in a care home setting, ideally in a Senior Carer role.
• Confident in administering medications within a care home and supporting multiple residents.
• Able to write and update care plans, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and leadership abilities.

About the role:

Leading a team of Carers and Senior Carers, you will deliver person-centred care to our residents to ensure they retain their dignity and individuality. By leading a happy and competent team, you can really make a difference in your home and also the local community. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and inspiring a team of Carers and Senior Carers in the day to day running of the home.
• Communicating regularly with our residents' families and Health care professionals to write and adapt care plans.
• Administering medication and completing risk assessments
• Ensuring the needs of the residents are always met.
• Ensuring residents daily records are up to date and accurately reflect the care provided.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
