Job description

We are looking to recruit a care and support worker to work in our CQC registered residential home for adults with Learning Disabilities. The post is for 37.5 hours per week on a shift rota which includes weekends and bank holidays. The position is to provide care and support using a person-centred approach in all aspects of the individual customer's needs, including personal care while ensuring privacy, dignity and respect are always maintained. You will empower and promote independence while motivating and supporting with setting objectives to enable the customer to reach their full potential and achieving their aspirations. You will be required to complete accurate and concise daily records, update care plans and risk assessments for the individual customers. You will be required to be a keyworker to named customers. Advocate and liaise with outside agencies on the customers' behalf as and when necessary. Successful candidates will be referred for an enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and concise daily records and update care plans and risk assessments.
  • Act as key worker for named customers.
  • Advocate and liaise with external agencies on behalf of customers.
  • Participate in in‑house and community activities, escorting residents to healthcare appointments and social outings.
  • Work a shift rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.
  • Partake in DBS checks for enhanced safety compliance.
