ABOUT THE ROLE

Care Leader – Orders of St. John Care Trust

Location: Amesbury, Wiltshire

Contract: Permanent • Hours: Full-time • Pay rate: £15.22 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a small team of carers to deliver outstanding care to residents, supporting the Home Manager and ensuring wellbeing, security, dignity and independence for residents.
  • Plan and implement compassionate care, ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed through ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Manage time effectively between supporting the team and overseeing resident wellbeing.
ABOUT YOU

You’ll have previous experience in a residential care setting with either:

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or
  • NVQ Level 2 and be prepared to study for NVQ Level 3

You may have supervisory experience (delegating tasks, supporting inductions for new starters, and 1-to-1s), but this is not essential. What’s important is:

  • You are a positive role model with excellent communication skills
  • You can motivate others to deliver the best possible care
  • You are confident taking charge and using your own initiative to resolve problems and handle queries
