Job summary

A leading care home provider in Aberdeen is seeking a full-time Chef to create high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. The ideal candidate will have relevant culinary qualifications and experience in meal preparation for varied dietary requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Qualifications

• Must be confident in working independently and managing kitchen responsibilities.
• Experience in a care home or similar catering environment is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve balanced, nutritious meals for residents.
• Plan menus alongside the Head Chef, based on preferences and fresh ingredients.
• Maintain food safety logs and stock records.

Skills

Experience preparing high-quality meals for varied dietary requirements

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Confidence to work independently

A passion for creating homely, nutritious meals

Education

City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent qualification

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent)
