Overview

Care Assistant (self-employed) for a teenager with LD P/T@ £15.85/hr in BS20. Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: 76501940. I’m looking for a PA / care assistant to support my 16 year old daughter. E is very creative (both visually and musically) and is very playful and funny. She has severe learning disability and is autistic. Tasks would include supporting her at home and also with outings to shops, bowling, cafes, etc. You would also attend medical appointments with us. At first (and possibly for some time), this would be alongside myself. Ideally, in future you would take her out yourself or with another PA. Successful applicants will have all of the following: a valid UK license and a car; a great sense of humour and ability to play and not be self conscious; good physical health; this job may at times require you to push E in a wheelchair or help her go up/down stairs, etc.; patience; a flexible attitude; some weekend availability. I don’t have a specific gender requirement. Applicant must be a nonsmoker. The hours would be flexible, c 3-6 hours per week in term time, c 6-9 hours in school holidays. There is potential for longer sessions in future, for example a day trip to a theme park. This is a self-employed role, so you would be responsible for your own tax and National Insurance. You will be paid at the end of each month on receipt of your invoice for hours worked. You will be paid £15.85/hour + mileage.
