Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Stamford, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of personal care to residents, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services. Your duties will include assisting residents with their personal hygiene, recognising and understanding clinical risk areas, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors while respecting their dignity and individuality. Job responsibilities

Package Description: Shift Details: One full-time position of 39 hours and one part-time position of 22 hours are available. ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

  • Experience is not required as Avery Healthcare provides a thorough induction and training program. However, the ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents, be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions, and be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
