Job summary

Porthaven Care Homes’ Upton Mill Care Home in Tetbury is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support residents’ daily living and wellbeing in a warm, respectful environment.

You will work 36 hours per week on day and night shifts, with alternate weekends, and receive full training. No prior experience required; we value compassion, reliability, and teamwork, and provide ongoing development and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities in this role include:

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including; washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion with residents.
