A local government authority in Northern Ireland is seeking a compassionate and experienced care assistant to support residents in a permanent role. Duties include assisting with personal care, maintaining a safe environment, and helping residents transition to independence. Ideal candidates must demonstrate kindness and basic computer skills. Grade : C; scp4 £25,185 to scp6 £25,989 with additional 7% allowance for out of hours working.
Contract : Permanent variety of hours available.

Do you have some experience of care and are you looking for a job in care? We are looking for care assistant to join the team at Wilfred Geere or Laburnum Lodge.
Key duties include assisting with personal care, helping with eating and drinking, supporting mobility and comfort, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and responding to emergencies. You’ll also contribute to care planning, communicate effectively with individuals with varying needs, and work closely with NHS and Local Authority teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
You’ll support residents needing rehabilitation or assessment, helping them regain independence or transition to long-term care.
Shifts follow a set rolling rota with fixed shift lengths : 7 : 30-3 and 2 : 30-10. Long shifts are not available.
We’re looking for individuals with experience in care, whether this is formal or informal! Above all, you must be able to demonstrate kindness, compassion, and respect when supporting our residents. Basic computer skills are essential, as you’ll be using digital systems to record and access care information.
