Qualifications

• Essential NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with carding machinery in manufacturing is a must.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Proactive and reliability‑driven.
• Willing to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Work with production teams to improve machine performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Mentor operators and apprentices.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety, and environmental standards.
