A little more about your role…

As an CAD/BIM Technician, you will form part of the existing team working with the project delivery teams to develop BIM models for the Structures discipline and interface with BIM leads in other disciplines to create federated models and undertake clash detection.

A typical week would include:
  • Provide 3D modelling and 2D drawings to a variety of multidisciplinary projects in the Building Structures sector
  • Upskill BIM knowledge within the business and knowledge of current BIM Level 2 documentation.
  • Developing and cross checking model information against the Employer Information Requirements (EIR), including clash detection and validation of non-graphical information.
  • Interfacing with multi-disciplinary project teams, and driving BIM benefits at project level.
  • Able to produce high quality Models and drawings in both 2D and 3D.
  • Knowledge of Health and safety
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience working in both 2D and 3D
  • High level of relevant software Experience such as Revit, Autocad and Navisworks and/or Aecosim / OpenBuilding Designer / projectwise.
  • Able to manage data in a secure and controlled manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build positive working relationships
  • Knowledge of operating in a BIM Level 2 compliant environment
  • Open to learning new software and processes
  • Ability to coordinate others and manage own workload
  • Minimum HNC/D level education in an engineering or other relevant subject, a clearunderstanding of Building Information Modelling and its benefits to the construction Industry. A multidisciplinary approach to design, independent of background
  • A good working knowledge of building construction and materials.
  • Be aware of industry standards such as ISO19650 associated documents.
