⭐ LinkedIn Job Advert – Buying Assistant (In-House)

Location: On-site (Office-based)

Are you highly organised, detail-driven, and looking to start or grow your career in buying?

We’re looking for a proactive Buying Assistant to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our buying function. This is a hands‑on, in‑house role that plays a key part in ensuring samples, deliveries, and product information flow smoothly through the business.

You’ll work closely with our buying, design, and sales teams, as well as suppliers and couriers, helping to keep product development on track and supporting the wider team with essential physical tasks. If you love order, enjoy being the go-to person who keeps things running, and feel energised by a busy, creative environment, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Receiving, unpacking, labelling, and logging all incoming samples
  • Maintaining and organising the sample library
  • Preparing samples for meetings, range reviews, and customer presentations
  • Packing and sending outgoing parcels (samples, swatches, returns, etc.)
  • Coordinating courier collections and deliveries
  • Purchasing retail samples for research and benchmarking, including managing returns/exchanges
  • Carrying out in-store competitor visits when required
  • Inspecting samples for quality, accuracy, packaging, and labelling
  • Supporting buyers and designers with fast‑turnaround, on‑site tasks
  • Organising storage rooms, sample cupboards, and packaging supplies
  • Taking measurements and photos for sample evaluations
  • Helping set up internal meeting spaces for product reviews and presentations
What you’ll bring
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and stay calm in a fast‑paced environment
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude
  • Confidence with physical tasks (lifting/moving boxes)
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in buying, retail, admin, logistics, or a related area is a plus — but not essential

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a busy buying environment and to grow within a supportive and collaborative team.
