Materials Buyer - Main Contractor / Developer Experience NEEDED

Location: Oxford

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + package

Start Date: ASAP (immediate availability preferred)

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials for our construction projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Working closely with our project and commercial teams, you’ll play a key role in maintaining efficient supply chains and supporting project delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials for multiple live projects.
• Negotiate best pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor stock levels, deliveries, and logistics.
• Work closely with site and project teams to ensure smooth operations.

About You

• Proven experience as a Buyer / Materials Buyer with a main contractor or developer.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator with both internal teams and external suppliers.
