Hours: 37 hours – Monday to Friday, 9am–5.30pm (Until 6pm on Wednesday evenings)

Overview

On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join their Business Support team. This is a high-profile post and would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked within Administration and is looking to further develop their experience within Local Authority.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Business Support team.
  • Work two days per week in the office at Shire Hall, Warwick (Monday and Wednesday).
  • Deliver reception duties at one of Warwickshire’s Music Centres:
  • Most likely at Central Warwickshire Music Centre, based at Kenilworth School and VI Form.
  • Occasionally at the North Warwickshire Music Centre in Nuneaton (considered only if the candidate is local to the area).
  • Attend the Music Centre on Wednesday evenings (4pm–6pm). On this day, hours may start later or include a break in the afternoon.
  • Provide support at the warehouse at Hawkes Point when required.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of services through accurate record-keeping, communication, and problem-solving.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle front-of-house/reception duties.
  • Flexibility to adapt working hours on Wednesdays to accommodate evening Music Centre attendance.
  • Willingness to work across different Warwickshire sites when required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous experience within Local Government or public sector administration (desirable but not essential).
