Randstad Education is proud to be recruiting for a vital role within a dynamic and successful Multi-Academy Trust. We are seeking a Business Support Officer to join a supportive and ambitious school team.

The Role

This is a varied and exciting position where you will be at the heart of the school's communication channels. You will be responsible for managing the flow of information both internally to staff and externally to parents and the wider community. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who excels at managing multiple projects, from producing newsletters to supporting school events.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Communications:

    • Collecting, collating, and presenting content for the half-termly parent newsletter and weekly staff bulletin.

    • Managing the school website and providing regular social media content using Twitter.

    • Using the school's text and email system to provide regular updates to parents.

    • Acting as the first point of contact for all communication enquiries.

  • Events & Community:

    • Supporting the coordination of all internal and external school events, including parents' evenings and open days.

    • Managing the organisation and booking of school visitors and external speakers.

    • Supporting the management of charitable giving events and promoting the school's foodbank.

  • General Administration:

    • Providing administrative and clerical support to the business functions of the school.

    • Supporting reception duties, including greeting visitors and dealing with telephone queries.

    • Maintaining manual and computerised pupil records, including new admissions data.

    • Undertaking the minuting of meetings as required.

What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised professional with a flair for communication. You will need:

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C, including English and Maths.

  • Proven experience working in an administrative setting.

  • The ability to use MS Office packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to prioritise, work efficiently under pressure, and use your own initiative.

  • Experience working in an educational setting or using SIMS would be an advantage.
