Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to make a real impact as our Business Support Coordinator. You will play a key role in keeping our services running smoothly and effectively by providing structured coordination and administrative oversight. Our goal is to ensure critical tasks are delivered on time and service delivery is never compromised by avoidable delays. In post, you'll take ownership of setting service priorities, filtering issues, and seeking resolution. A core part of the role will be the collection and management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency, compliance, and best practice across all three units, while working collaboratively with teams across the service. Looking ahead, you'll support future planning and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to anticipate service needs, resource allocation, and strengthen operational effectiveness. You'll also be responsible for the development and collation of data for surveys, audits, and assurance activities, including performance reporting and CQC requirements. Additionally, your role will be pivotal in supporting our PBUC Manager to align all units, particularly with the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) workstream. This alignment is crucial for integrated service delivery, supporting organisational priorities, and maintaining consistency across departments.

Locations

Main duties of the job: will be expected to work across three locations – the Minor Injury Units in Clevedon and Yate, and the Urgent Treatment Centre Hengrove, Bristol.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing the provision of a professional and courteous service to a range of customers, liaising with patients/clients, carers, families, health professionals and other organisations.
  • Represents administration colleagues as a member of the operational management team and provides support to the management team.
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of a range of administrative and/or customer services processes within the team to an agreed standard to maximise service quality and continuity.
  • Responsible for setting service priorities, filtering issues, and seeking resolution; planning and prioritising work activities to meet deadlines and ensuring operational efficiency by adjusting priorities, aims and plans as required.
  • Responsible for expenditure and monitoring of budgets and resources in the Administration team, and is an authorised signatory for team expenses.
  • Responsible for the management of databases, filing systems and admin processes.
  • Responsible for the development and collation of data for surveys and audits relevant to the service, e.g. performance reporting and CQC assurance.
