Job summary

A leading technology consulting firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Microsoft technologies. This role involves identifying business opportunities, building customer relationships, and collaborating with teams to deliver solutions that transform businesses. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of sales experience, familiarity with Microsoft solutions like Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, and strong communication and negotiation skills. This is a permanent, home-based position with competitive compensation including OTE.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth across the Microsoft technology portfolio by identifying opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and developing solutions that support digital transformation. You will work with customers, partners, and internal teams to position Microsoft solutions—including Dynamics 365 (D365), Power Platform, and wider Microsoft technologies—to solve real business challenges and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, engaging with customers to understand their commercial and technology needs.
  • Position Microsoft-based solutions —including D365, Power Platform, and enterprise Microsoft services—to address customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Microsoft’s partner ecosystem to create collaborative, end-to-end solution opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical pre-sales, delivery consultants, and marketing teams to support lead generation, customer success, and solution development.
  • Keep up-to-date with Microsoft products, licensing models, and partner programs to provide accurate and strategic guidance to customers.
  • Manage and grow your sales pipeline, meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly targets through disciplined forecasting and customer engagement.
Requirements
  • 4+ years’ experience in a sales or business development role within the IT or technology sector.
  • Background working with Microsoft solutions, technology consulting, or enterprise transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 (D365), Power Platform, and other Microsoft products.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
