This role focuses on securing long-term contracts, offering a salary of approximately £50,000 plus a car allowance and uncapped commission. PTSG’s Access & Safety Division is growing fast, and we’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who knows how to win meaningful, long-term business.
You’ll be selling inspection, maintenance and repair services that are legally required, essential to the customer and critical to keeping people safe. That means informed conversations, credible decision-makers and contracts that actually last.
Covering the North of England, you’ll work with commercial, industrial, retail and residential clients, securing everything from large multi-year framework agreements through to one-off inspections and integrated, multi-service solutions alongside the wider PTSG Group. There’s real variety here — and real opportunity if you know how to build a pipeline properly.
You’ll be comfortable operating in a tendered environment, working on frameworks, managing formal bid processes and spotting opportunities to improve how services are delivered and scaled. This is not a “drop and run” role — it’s about building relationships, understanding risk and compliance, and positioning PTSG as a long-term partner.
We’re looking for someone commercially sharp, driven and ambitious. Someone who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership of targets and is prepared to go the extra mile to deliver results. Experience within Access & Safety would be ideal, but we’re equally open to strong B2B sales professionals from Fire, Safety or Construction who understand contract service sales.
You’ll need a full UK driving licence, be based around the Yorkshire / Lancashire / M62 / M1 corridor, and be happy travelling regularly across the North.
In return, you’ll receive a circa £50,000 basic salary, company car or car allowance, and uncapped commission — backed by a supportive leadership team and a division going through genuine transformation.
