Our client, a growing provider of Soft and Hard Facilities Management services, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead their Business Development department and drive both new and existing business growth. Reporting to the Managing Director and Commercial Director, this role is central to the company’s tendering, mobilisation and client relationship activities.
The Business Development Manager will focus on securing new business and retaining existing contracts through competitive tendering processes. You will network extensively across both the public and private sectors to develop and sell total FM service solutions. Alongside this, you will support day‑to‑day operational requirements during mobilisation, coordinating stakeholders, mitigating risk, and ensuring services meet client expectations and budget commitments.
The role also includes responsibility for cross‑selling and upselling within the existing client portfolio, as well as producing detailed technical proposals and costings that align with commercial parameters.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational ability in high‑pressure environments, and a broad knowledge of FM business functions. Experience in project management and developing detailed technical proposals is highly desirable. You will be detail‑oriented, commercially aware, and capable of producing accurate costing documentation.
