Industrial Safety Specialist

Location: M62 Corridor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Up to £40,000 + Car + Bonus + Commission

Holidays: 30 days including bank holidays

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Industrial Safety Specialist to support an expanding portfolio of high‑risk clients across the UK. You will play a vital part in delivering safety excellence across some of the UK’s most complex, safety‑critical environments.

This role is ideal for someone who can blend technical understanding with commercial awareness, relationship building, and the ability to deliver high‑quality client support.

Reporting To

National Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of the Downstream team, you will identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and drive growth across multiple safety service lines, including:

  • Confined space entry & rescue
  • C&G & ECITB accredited training for Confined Space / Working at Height
  • Gas detection systems and monitoring solutions
  • Connected worker technologies
  • Permit to work & compliance support
  • Maintenance and repair contract opportunities

TAR / project safety coordination

You will act as the link between clients and operational teams, ensuring high‑quality delivery that reduces risk, supports safe operations, and maintains compliance across all activities.

Success Measures
  • Revenue secured across assigned accounts
  • Quality of client and internal team feedback
  • Line Manager feedback and annual appraisal outcomes
  • Compliance with QOHSE & LPS management systems
  • Accurate, up‑to‑date communication with clients, including course overviews and documentation
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Experience within industrial safety, ideally across multiple service offerings
  • Strong understanding of high‑hazard sectors: COMAH, petrochemical, energy, refinery, or similar
  • Proven background in business development, sales, or client relationship management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, operational, and commercial teams
  • Competent IT user (CRM systems, MS Office)
  • Self‑starter with a proactive, can‑do attitude
  • Confident, articulate communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage enquiries, conversations, and follow‑ups both in person and over the phone
  • Strong relationship‑building ability, with a focus on trust and long‑term partnerships
Physical & Additional Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work both on client sites and remotely
  • Comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays where required
  • Must be currently residing in the UK and living within or near the assigned region
