Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Business Developer to help grow our local depot and expand trade customer base. You’ll talk with customers face-to-face and on the phone, build relationships, and spot opportunities to increase spend by understanding customer needs.

You’ll generate leads, arrange appointments, and keep the sales pipeline moving, working with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives to convert conversations into opportunities and sales.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for customer-facing roles.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with trade customers.
• Comfortable achieving call and activity targets.
• Experience in telesales or account management is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Call existing trade customers to build long-term relationships and grow business.
• Identify inactivity and bring accounts back on track using customer data.
• Manage a targeted customer list and meet daily call targets.
• Promote products, offers and events to keep customers engaged.
