Function:

The Business Consultant will work closely with customers and our project and service delivery teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the success of the UMAX solution by managing customer needs from a business and market regulations perspective. Your role includes providing business and market guidance to our application consultants and supporting decision-making with the customer’s business.

The role is based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or EIR and requires experience with the Irish market (ROI & NIE). ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our cloud-based software solution for water and energy utilities, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, automating business processes and enhancing customer engagement.

As a Business Consultant with market experience in Ireland, you will:

• Serve as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Attend workshops and meetings onsite with customers.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution to meet market needs.
• Collaborate with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams to build strong relationships.
• Participate in project progress meetings and proactively identify risks.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to both new and existing customers.
• Work with colleagues to upskill according to industry best practices and understand the Irish energy market (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously expand your knowledge of the Utility market in Ireland and share insights with colleagues.

What you bring:

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• Deep knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least 5+ years’ experience as a Business/Functional Consultant in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding customer processes.
• Skills in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Team-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, initiative-taker, and quality-driven.
• Customer-focused and adaptable to fast-changing environments.
