Function:

The Business Consultant will work closely with customers and our project and service teams to ensure the successful deployment of the UMAX solution, focusing on managing customer needs from a business and market regulation perspective. The role involves providing market guidance to application consultants and supporting mediation decisions with clients.

The position can be based in Ghent (Sint-Denijs-Westrem), UK, or Ireland, and requires experience in the Irish market (ROI and NIE) and ERP implementation experience is a plus.

UMAX is our cloud-based software for water and energy utilities, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, automating business processes and enhancing customer engagement.

As a Business Consultant with market experience (EIR), you will:

• Act as the link between Business and IT as a business-focused analyst.
• Manage customer expectations and support functional experts in translating business needs into functional requirements.
• Participate in workshops and meetings onsite with clients.
• Provide feedback to product development, sales, and marketing teams.
• Contribute to the evolution of the UMAX solution for market readiness.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, sales, pre-sales, product, and project teams.
• Participate in project meetings and identify risk areas proactively.
• Deliver high-quality consulting services to clients.
• Upskill with industry best practices and understand the energy market in Ireland (ROI & NIE).
• Continuously develop your knowledge of the utility market in Ireland and transfer this knowledge to colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills (master’s degree or equivalent experience).
• In-depth knowledge of the Irish energy market.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business/Functional Consultant in large ERP/CRM projects.
• Expertise in identifying business requirements and understanding customer processes.
• Skills in Business Process Management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel, depending on project phase.
• Team player with problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive, quality-driven.
• Customer-oriented and adaptable to fast-changing environments.
