Job description
Overview

The Estates Department is looking for a Building Craftsperson (carpentry bias) with a background preferably gained in a building services or healthcare environment.

Works will also include minor painting tasks, lock maintenance and drainage clearance and inspections.

Our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake building and minor improvement tasks across the Trusts properties and for contracted customers, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
  • Carry out minor painting tasks, lock maintenance, drainage clearance and inspections as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must have a current full UK driving license.
  • Must have the physical ability and agility to carry out manual handling.
  • Background in building services or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Additional training will be provided for a successful applicant who does not fully meet the person specification.
