Job summary

AECOM in Chesterfield is seeking enthusiastic Civil & Structural Engineering Apprentices to join the Bridges team. As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience from concept to implementation on projects serving local, national, and international clients.

You’ll produce CAD drawings, support design and admin tasks, and work toward EngTech and IEng status with ICE or IStructE while developing as part of a global team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C/4+) including Mathematics and English.
• Three A-Levels or equivalent with Maths and a physical science for Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.
• Some engineering exposure or shadowing is preferred.
• Interest in CAD and 3D modelling software.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD drawings for bridge projects.
• Support structural design and desktop publishing tasks.
• Assist with project administration and record-keeping.
• Review and analyse data to support designs.
• Contribute to problem-solving and design solutions.
• Participate in site visits to observe conditions.
• Work toward EngTech and later IEng status with ICE or IStructE.
