Job summary

AECOM, Birmingham Bridges team, is seeking enthusiastic Civil & Structural Engineering Apprentices to gain hands-on experience from concept to implementation on local, national, and international projects. You will develop CAD drawings, support structural design, and contribute to project administration in a collaborative, innovative environment.

This role is ideal for school leavers with strong GCSEs and A- Levels who are eager to learn, with opportunities to progress toward EngTech and IEng

Qualifications

• Strong interest in CAD and 3D modelling for bridge designs.
• Some experience or shadowing in an engineering environment is preferred.
• School leavers welcome; readiness to learn and develop engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce CAD drawings for bridge projects and maintain design records.
• Support structural design tasks and related desktop publishing.
• Assist with project administration and documentation.
• Review data and contribute to problem solving and design solutions.
• Attend site visits to gather information and observe conditions.
• Work toward EngTech/IEng status with ICE or IStructE.
