Job summary

AECOM in Glasgow is seeking enthusiastic Civil & Structural Engineering Apprentices to join the Bridges team. As an apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience from concept to implementation, working with clients locally, nationally and internationally.

You’ll produce CAD drawings, support design tasks, and develop professional competences while pursuing EngTech and later IEng status with ICE or IStructE in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
  • Three A-Levels (or equivalent) including Maths and a physical science – required for Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship.
  • Some experience or shadowing in an engineering environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Produce CAD drawings.
  • Support structural design and desktop publishing tasks.
  • Assist with project administration and record-keeping.
  • Review and analyse data.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and design solutions.
  • Participate in site visits to gather information or observe conditions.
  • Work toward EngTech status, then IEng status with ICE or IStructE.
